Specifications
The 432 Hz version of the Zenko Ignis is a 20 cm diameter steel tongue drum (22 cm overall) made by the French workshop Metal Sounds within the European Union. It is built from anodised stainless steel for durability and a long service life. Net weight is around 1.2 kg, it has eight notes and a red-coloured profile. A pair of mallets and a carrying bag are included.
Sound and character
The Ignis tuning (G – A – B – D – G – A – B – D) produces a soft, spherical sound with a relatively short sustain, ideal for percussive playing. Tuned to a 432 Hz reference, this version has a warmer, gentler character that many find more pleasant for meditation and therapeutic work. The eight notes blend together harmoniously, allowing you to create beautiful patterns even without prior musical training.
How to use
Thanks to its compact size and light weight, the Zenko Ignis 432 Hz can be used almost anywhere. It is an excellent companion for yoga classes, sound massage and sound bath sessions, group meditations or quiet solo practice. You can play it with your hand, your fingertips or the included mallets, and one-handed playing is comfortable too.
