Sound and character
The 432 Hz Zenko Aria has the same airy, rounded character as its 440 Hz sibling, only with a slightly deeper fundamental. Many find tunings based on 432 Hz to feel warmer and softer — meditative and sound therapy practitioners often choose it for this reason. The overtones sound clearly with a short sustain, suitable for both percussive and melodic play.
How to use
You can play it with the hand, fingertips or the supplied short, hard mallets. It works well as a companion for yoga sessions, sound massages, quiet meditation or children's activities. Because the ARIA tuning is inherently harmonious, anyone can produce a beautiful sound with no music theory background. Given the 432 Hz pitch, it is best suited to environments where you play together with other instruments also tuned to 432 Hz.
Why this product
Stainless steel construction and the anodised finish ensure lasting stable tuning and long life. Made in the EU (France), the instrument is an affordable entry into the world of metal slit drums and fits the Feeltone Elemental Soundscapes concept: the 'Aria' family members harmonise with each other. We recommend the 432 Hz version to those who consciously seek this reference for their practice.
Care tips
- Use the supplied short, hard mallets — other mallets may change the sound.
- Do not put fingers into the slits as they can pinch.
- Keep the mallets away from children as they may mistake them for lollipops.
- Store in the supplied bag and protect from scratches.
- When playing together with other instruments, check that they are also tuned to 432 Hz.
