The message of the morning glory flower
In Japanese culture, the morning glory is the herald of summer dawn: it opens early in the morning and closes again in the midday heat. This Yume no Yume incense holder evokes the blue and purple shades of the morning glory. It brings a little summer mood into your home every morning, whether on your desk or in your quiet reading nook at home.
Hand-painted porcelain details
The white porcelain base has been painted by Japanese masters in delicate blue, purple and green shades. The silhouette of the flower and the lines of the leaves are made with handheld brushstrokes, so each piece is slightly unique. It is worth looking at it from close up too: the thin stems and the shading inside the flower only truly show their beauty in calm sunlight.
How to use it with an incense stick
There is a small hole in the centre of the holder, where you can insert your thin Japanese incense stick. The ash from the burning stick falls neatly onto the holder, so it does not soil your furniture. After use, you can easily wipe the ash and dust from the surface with a soft cloth, and it is ready to be used again straight away.
Where it fits in your home
It looks particularly good on light, natural-material furniture: a wooden desk, a linen tablecloth, or an open bookshelf. It is worth trying it in your morning coffee corner too, because the morning glory motif feels especially fitting there. In the company of a small potted flower, it also forms a harmonious picture on the shelf or windowsill.
Tisztítás és gondozás
The porcelain is easy to clean, but we do not recommend the dishwasher. It is enough to rinse it gently with lukewarm water and dry it with a soft cloth. If a lot of ash has accumulated, sweep it away carefully with a soft brush. Store it in a dry place and avoid knocks, as porcelain is fragile.
