What you receive in this yoga bolster
You receive a round yoga bolster 60 cm long and 16 cm in diameter. The net weight of the cushion is 2.3 kg, accounted for by the natural buckwheat hull filling. The cover is sage green with a fine lotus pattern, made from one-hundred-percent OCS-certified organic cotton.
What a bolster is for
A bolster is a densely filled, elongated cushion that you can use in various yoga and resting positions to support the back, legs, neck, chest and hamstrings. It is especially recommended for restorative yoga and Yin yoga, as it helps the body relax and makes long-held positions comfortable. For seated meditation it is also excellent: placed under the knees or pelvis, it provides comfortable seating over a long time.
Structure of the cover
The outer cover is made from dyed, GOTS-certified organic cotton, with a zip at the bottom so you can easily remove and wash it. The inner cover that holds the filling is undyed, also GOTS-certified organic cotton, with a drawstring closure. This system also makes the filling removable: by taking out a small amount you can soften the bolster, and over time you can also top it up.
The buckwheat filling
High-quality natural buckwheat hulls are a special filling material: they hold their shape, adapt well to the contours of the body, and do not compress over long use. Traditional yoga props frequently rely on them because they balance support and softness. The organic cotton certification means that the entire material chain — from the cotton itself to the dyeing — follows controlled, chemical-free processes.
The meaning of the lotus pattern
In the tradition of yoga and meditation, the lotus flower is a symbol of awakening, purity and growth. The flower grows out of the mud yet remains pure — for many, an image of inner journey. The fine lotus pattern on the sage green cover is discreet and tasteful, blending into any meditation or living space.
Care
The outer cover has been made removable by the manufacturer with the zip closure, so it is washable. The drawstring closure on the inner cover also allows you to take out the buckwheat hulls for washing or to top them up over time. It arrives in a bioplastic bag, which is also an environmentally conscious choice.
