Sound and character
The wool-fleece head delivers a notably soft, sensitive strike. The attack is gentle, the overtones rise slowly, allowing the full fundamental tone of the instrument to come forward. With this mallet the deep vibration of bass slit drums spreads out like silk, and large singing bowls (over 1.5 kg) sing with a fine, long-sustained voice.
How to use
The 8 cm fleece head is recommended for bass slit drums and large singing bowls — wherever you want to soften the attack. In sound massage it works particularly well during the relaxation phase, where the goal is not a percussive accent but an enveloping, deep vibration. Single-piece packaging — for replacement or for a custom combination.
Why this product
- Soft, woolly attack for refined tone
- Oak handle with a stable, pleasant feel
- Optimised for bass instruments
- Pairs well with the firm felt-head mallet
Care tips
Always adjust the strength of your strike to the instrument and avoid playing too hard — the larger the mallet, the greater the impact. Never strike people or animals. Protect the fleece head from dust and moisture and store in a dry place. If the head becomes compressed over time, brush it gently to restore its shape.
