A warm, deep wooden sound that cuts through the music
This wood block — also known as a percussion block or woodblock — brings the sound of the traditional wooden drum into modern percussion setups. As the low version it produces a warm, full-bodied yet assertive knocking sound that remains clearly audible even in louder musical settings. The rhythmic backbone of your music thus sounds in wood: a natural, pleasant tone that never becomes sharp or harsh.
Two sounds from a single block
The special construction offers two different sounds: a muted, short knock and an open, more resonant tone. Depending on where you strike it, you can switch between the two while playing — building varied rhythms with just one instrument. It works equally well for music teachers in group rhythm exercises and for drummers colouring their setup.
Multilayer birch, made in Germany
The block is made of multilayer birch in Germany, which makes it durable and long-lasting: the layered construction withstands strokes better than simple solid designs. It measures 17.5 × 20 × 5 cm and weighs approx. 510 grams.
Mounting on your existing hardware
Attachment is done with a percussion bracket on common rods of 8-10 mm diameter. The block thus becomes part of your drum kit or percussion stand in moments, exactly where it is most comfortable for you. If you later add its higher-tuned counterpart, you can build a two-tone woodblock set.
