This lotus-shaped window hanging is made from deep purple glass, set in a metal frame. Its rich yet calm colour gives an elegant accent to a window or a meditative corner; as light passes through, it casts a gentle purple shade into the room.
The lotus symbol
The lotus is the plant that rises from the mud to open a pure bloom above the water, a recurring motif in Eastern art and religions. Tradition knows it as a symbol of purity and spiritual unfolding – an image of rising from the dim toward the light.
