This round glass window decoration unites a stylised lotus with the traditional colours of the seven chakras. Hung in a window, the translucent glass breaks the light and scatters a vivid, soft glow into the room that keeps changing as the sun moves.
The lotus and the chakra colours
The lotus is the image of a pure flower rising above the water from the mud – a recurring motif in Eastern art, a symbol of purity and unfolding. The seven colours arranged around it evoke the seven main chakras, regarded in Eastern tradition as subtle energy centres along the body's central energy channel. Here they appear in a mainly decorative, atmospheric role.
Light and placement
It is at its best when sunlight reaches it. In the window the translucent glass and colourful design together trace a delicate play of light and colour across the wall and ceiling. A hanger makes it easy to put up. It measures about 15 × 38 cm.
Care
The glass surface can be cleaned with a soft, dry or barely damp cloth, and is best protected from knocks.
