This 70 cm wind chime gives a full, layered sound through its twelve hollow tubes and three wind catchers. It sounds softly at even a quiet breeze, and the many tubes together create a richer, deeper ring than smaller pieces.
Sound and finish
The three wind catchers gather the breeze from several directions, so the chime responds sensitively to the slightest movement of air. With so many hollow tubes, the tone is fuller and more resonant.
Where it fits
A more spacious terrace, a garden or an airy porch, where the larger form and richer sound can come into their own. It also makes a lovely, thoughtful gift. The feng shui tradition associates the soft sounds of wind chimes with a bright, balanced atmosphere.
Good to know
Hang it in an airy spot sheltered from storms; a dry cloth keeps the tubes clean.
