White sage bundles consist of tied, dried Salvia apiana leaves; burning aromatic plant material is rooted in the Indigenous cultures of North America, where the plant was chosen to suit the intent. Palo santo, the South American 'holy wood', is made from naturally fallen, aged wood, with a warm, sweet-woody smoke. How to use it
Light the end of the bundle, then let it smoulder with gentle fanning and guide the smoke towards the space or object. Ventilate well afterwards. Always rest the smouldering bundle in a fireproof bowl or shell, away from children and pets, and never leave it unattended.
