Sage and dragon's blood together
The clearing smoke of white sage (Salvia apiana) is a traditional companion of ceremony, prayer and meditation. Dragon's blood is the deep-red resin of the Mexican Croton draco tree, prized by many cultures around the world since antiquity; tradition knows it as a rich, powerful incense material. The resin is a natural colourant and may stain – handle it with care.
About the smudging tradition
A smudge bundle is an all-natural ceremonial incense, traditionally used in Native American cultures to cleanse spaces, people and objects. Clearing a space with plant smoke is an ancient practice that lives on in many parts of the world today. It now accompanies meditation, quiet moments and the marking of transitions.
How to use it
Light the end of the bundle, then let it smoulder with gentle fanning and guide the smoke towards the space or object. Ventilate well afterwards. Always rest the smouldering bundle in a fireproof bowl or shell, away from children and pets, and never leave it unattended.
