What you get in the pack
The pouch contains approximately 18 grams of pure natural white copal resin. The resin is a natural material, so its colour, scent and texture may vary slightly between production runs – this is not a defect but the nature of a wild-harvested ingredient.
Characteristics of white copal
White copal (Bursera jorullense) has been used as incense in the ancient cultures of Central America. Its scent is fresh, slightly balsamic, with a resinous and citrus note that many people find cleansing and uplifting. Tradition calls it „food for the gods”, and you can use it for rituals, meditation or simply to refresh the air in your home.
Origin and quality
The product is shipped from Germany, where natural resins are sorted and packed in the traditional way. The copal grains come whole so that you can freely dose the desired amount.
How to burn it
You can use the loose resin in two ways: 1) Placed on glowing incense charcoal in a heat-resistant dish, the resin sublimates more quickly and produces an intense fragrance. 2) On a special sieve burner heated by a tea light, you achieve a slower, gentler release. The two methods can also be combined, and copal blends well with other resins or herbs.
Safety
Always place the burning resin on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Make sure the room can ventilate gently and keep it away from children and pets. Never leave a burning resin unattended.
