You get one slim, 22 cm orange box of Vedic incense sticks scented with tangerine and vanilla. Once lit, they open with the fresh, fruity smell of tangerine peel, and the sweet, creamy vanilla is what stays in the room. The sticks are made in India.
Tangerine peel and vanilla
It is a light, fruity and sweet scent, not a heavy one. If you like the smell of a freshly peeled tangerine or a vanilla cake, you will find something familiar here. It is also a good start if you are new to incense and don't want a strong, woody scent. If you would like more of it, light two sticks, but try one first.
With afternoon coffee or before guests arrive
The fruity, sweet scent suits a living room or hallway. Light it half an hour before your guests arrive, or on a weekend afternoon when you settle into an armchair with a book. In a small room, one stick is plenty.
Burning it safely in a holder
Light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so it only glows. Stand it in a heatproof incense holder, away from curtains and paper. Don't leave it burning unattended, and open a window a little. Keep the smoke away from children and pets.
Ash falls along the whole length of the stick, so choose a holder whose tray is at least as long as the stick. Long, boat-shaped holders are made for this.
The box also carries the Aromatika mark. In the photos the lettering appears in both English and Spanish, and you may receive either version.
