Fiery Red pepper is the classic Hungarian cherry pepper and cherry-hot combination. Early-ripening, medium growth, hanging fruit variety. The fruit is 10 cm long, pencil-thick, ripening from medium green to red, with a very hot flavour. For paprika enthusiasts who like serious heat.
Growing
Sowing time: February–March in seed trays. Transplanting: late May. Spacing: 50×40 cm. Very hot variety, so a separate bed is recommended.
Fruits start ripening in July. Uses: strong seasoning for gulyás, pörkölt, pickles. String up and dry the ripe fruits for year-round home-made hot pepper flakes.
