Where the 417 Hz RE fork fits in the solfeggio series
Solfeggio tuning forks form a family tuned to the scale of an old singing tradition - and this 417 Hz fork, marked RE, belongs to that series. According to tradition, the RE tone supports releasing stuck situations and welcoming change; many sound practitioners therefore use it as the tone of letting go in their sessions. This is, of course, a tradition-based approach, not a medical treatment.
What do you hear and feel when it sounds?
When you strike the fork gently - on the soft part of your palm or on a rubber activator - you hear a quiet, pure, long-sustained hum. 417 Hz means the prongs vibrate 417 times per second. Through the handle, the vibration can also be transferred gently to the hand, so the tone is not only heard but felt.
Nickel-free steel, maple wood handle
The fork is made of black oxide, nickel-free steel, a good choice for sensitive skin. The warm-touch maple handle gives a comfortable, secure grip even during longer use. The fork is 14.6 cm long and weighs just 74 grams. Made in Germany.
How to build it into your practice
Use it on its own before a quiet rest, or in sequence with the other solfeggio forks as part of a sound bath. Whether you choose it for relaxation at home or for sound therapy work, store it in a case or on a wooden stand and wipe it occasionally with a soft cloth.
