The MI tone of the Solfeggio scale

The Solfeggio scale is a set of tones rooted in an old tradition, and its individual notes are widely used by sound therapy practitioners. The 528 Hz tone is designated by the syllable MI and is traditionally associated with transformation and renewal. Hz means how many times the prongs of the fork vibrate per second: at 528 Hz this is a clear, pleasant mid-high tone that is easy to hear and can also be gently felt through the handle.

How to use the tuning fork

Hold it by the maple handle and strike the prongs against a soft surface - the pad of your palm or a dedicated rubber activation pad - then hold it near your ear and listen to the clear, slowly fading tone. Many sound therapists also move it near the body as part of treatments and quiet sessions. You can also reach for it at home for a peaceful minute in the evening.

Nickel-free steel, maple handle

The fork is made of black oxide, nickel-free steel - good news for sensitive skin - with a warm-feeling maple wood handle. It is 13.8 cm long and weighs only 74 grams, so it will not tire your hand even during longer sessions. Made in Germany with precise tuning.

An expandable series

Further tunings are available in the maker's Solfeggio series (174, 285, 396, 417, 639, 741, 852 and 963 Hz), along with wooden supports - so you can build up a complete set step by step.
