What this four-piece mineral set offers
This set of 4 tuning forks sounds the base resonances associated with four minerals: gold, silver, silicon and platinum. Each fork has its own precise tuning and can be used individually or together. The complete set is portable and arrives in a blue velvet pouch that also protects the pieces from scratches and dust.
The four forks and their frequencies
Gold – 316 Hz, silver – 376 Hz, silicon – 448 Hz and platinum – 312 Hz. These frequencies were chosen to reflect the characteristic resonance of each mineral in the language of the tuning fork. The lengths of the forks range from 18 to 20 cm, so each piece sits comfortably in the hand and remains easy to hold during longer practice sessions.
Size, material and accuracy
The set measures 19x22 cm overall and weighs 270 grams. Each fork is made of aluminium and tuned within a ±0.25% deviation. The included blue velvet pouch measures 23x19 cm and accommodates all four pieces comfortably. The forks are made by hand in an Indian workshop, so each one may carry small individual surface marks.
How to use the set
Hold the chosen fork by its handle and tap it gently against a rubber striker or your knee. Bring the sounding fork close to your ear (5–10 cm) and notice how the vibration changes at different points in the room. The four mineral frequencies can be used individually, but you can also explore unique tonal combinations by sounding two forks simultaneously.
What to watch out for
Always hold the forks by the handle – touching the prongs immediately silences the sound. Never use a metal surface for striking, as this can dent the fork and distort the tuning. Clean with a soft, dry cloth only; avoid chemicals or alcohol on the surface. Keep the set in its pouch in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
