What the activator does in sound healing practice
This compact activator features a durable rubber striking surface held against the upper leg by an adjustable strap. The quick-release buckle lets you put it on and take it off quickly, and the strap adjusts to fit most adult-sized thighs. The device makes activating a tuning fork more stable and predictable – you do not need to use a separate object (your knee or palm) each time.
How to use it
Fasten the strap around your upper leg and adjust the length so the rubber surface is easily within reach. Sit in a comfortable position and tap the fork (held by its handle) against the activator – you do not need much force, the elastic rubber surface transmits the vibration well. Suitable for both weighted and unweighted forks.
Materials and dimensions
The striking surface is made of durable rubber that does not wear out with prolonged use. The strap is woven textile, closed with a quick-release buckle. The device measures 10.5x7.5 cm and weighs 215 grams. Made in an Indian workshop, the activator fits comfortably in a small bag, so you can take it with you to sessions outside the home.
Care and cleaning
A slightly damp cloth or alcohol is enough for cleaning. Do not use abrasive or strong agents, as they may damage the rubber surface. Let it dry completely before storage. Check the strap from time to time, and replace it if you notice wear on the buckle or textile threads – safe fastening depends on this.
Who and when this suits
The activator is recommended for those already familiar with using tuning forks who want a more stable striking surface. It is also useful for sound healing professionals running sessions, because both hands can remain free. Important: this is a supportive accessory, not a medical device. Please consult a professional in case of any complaints.
