Tuning bar Tone – 7th chakra (Sahasrara, crown chakra) – long-floating tone

Indian tuning bar Tone variant for the 7th chakra (crown chakra, Sahasrara). Longer metal bar with deeper resonance, for sound therapy practice.

What this tuning bar is and where it comes from

You are holding a hand-made Indian metal tuning bar, tuned precisely to the traditional tone of the 7th chakra. The bar is made of metal (aluminium alloy) and gives longer, deeper resonance. In the Indian sound-therapy tradition tuned metal bars have long been in use, because a clean, single tone keeps its character for a long time and can be guided easily.

Symbolism of the 7th chakra (Sahasrara, crown chakra) in the tradition

In the yogic tradition, the crown chakra is the centre of spiritual openness and quiet inner awareness. The traditional colour of the crown chakra is violet or white, its location on the body is above the crown of the head, and its keywords are: spiritual openness, inner unity, quiet awareness. This tuning bar is tuned to the traditional tone of this chakra — a floating, transparent tone that opens a door to quiet attention and turning inward. Important: these descriptions reflect symbolism from the yogic tradition, not medical claims.

How to sound the bar and guide the tone

Hold the bar loosely at one end, leaving the other end free to vibrate. With the included soft mallet, tap gently a little away from the middle of the bar — no strong force is needed; a soft tap produces a clean tone. Then bring the sounding bar close to above the crown of the head, about 5-10 cm from the body, and slowly circle it. One sounding lasts roughly 30-60 seconds. As the vibration fades, you can tap again. While practising, pay attention to your breath: slow, deep inhalation and exhalation supports inward attention.

Which variant suits you

This Tone variant is longer than the standard series, so its tone sustains for longer and sounds deeper. If you work with sound therapy or hold group sound meditations, this variant will suit you: during the longer sustain, listeners can settle more deeply into the tone. For quiet home practice the shorter 19035 series also works well.

Accessories, package contents and care

The package contains the tuning bar and the soft-tipped mallet that goes with it. Store the bar in a dry, dust-protected place; if fingerprints or dust cover the surface, wipe it with a soft cloth. We do not recommend chemicals or abrasives, as the surface is sensitive after hand tuning. This bar is Indian craftsmanship, so small variations in size and finish may occur — these are not defects but signs of the hand-made character.
