Triple Quartz Pendulum

Clear quartz in three pieces, two geometric shapes and a long point, on silver-tone fittings and a long chain, about 25 cm.

Three quartz pieces, set one below the other, make up this pendulum: two polished geometric shapes and a long, pointed quartz. The fittings are silver-tone and the chain is a long metal chain. It is about 25 cm long including the chain and was made in India.

Three clear quartz pieces in a row

All three are colourless, clear quartz, also known as rock crystal. Light breaks at different angles on the polished faces, so the three pieces do not catch the light in the same way.

By tradition, rock crystal is a stone of clarity. Here it appears three times, each in a different shape, which makes the pendulum longer and more eye-catching than a single quartz point.

A test question you already know

Before asking anything important, start with a question you are sure of, such as what day it is. Watch how the pendulum swings when the answer is yes, and how when it is no.

You learn these movements in your own hand. Keep your elbow on the table so your hand does not move the chain.

Do not ask too much in one sitting. After a few questions, put the pendulum down and carry on later with a rested hand.

Clean quartz sparkles best

Fingerprints show on quartz. After use, wipe it with a soft, dry cloth and put it in a small box. Shade, clarity and inner markings vary slightly, so yours will not look exactly like the photo.
