The Tree of Life symbol
The Tree of Life is an ancient motif depicting a tree spreading its branches and roots, appearing in the art of many cultures. Tradition regards it as a symbol of life, growth and the connection of generations, an emblem of strength and roots.
Green aventurine
Green aventurine is the greenish, translucent variety of quartz; its soft, silky shimmer comes from tiny embedded flakes of mica (an effect called aventurescence). In tradition it is known as a green stone of opportunity and the heart, regarded as a stone of luck and growth.
Craft and material
The top bail is copper and the setting holding the stone is zinc alloy. The product is nickel-, lead- and cadmium-free, meeting European product-safety (REACH) requirements. The pendant is about 3 cm; a chain is not necessarily included.
Care
Store it in a dry place and wipe it with a soft cloth. Protect the metal setting from prolonged moisture; a soft, barely damp cloth is enough to clean the green aventurine.
