Traditional herbal incense – red pack

Traditional hand-blended herbal incense in a red paper pack. Warm, earthy, resinous scent — for meditation, evening quietening and home fragrancing daily.

What is in the red pack?

This incense is made by a traditional process and hand blending — dried herbs, barks and wood pieces go into a warm, earthy-scented stick. The red paper pack protects the scent until unwrapping, and there are several sticks inside, so it lasts a longer time. The sticks are not showy in scent — rather fine, with a deep resinous background note.

What the scent is like, who we recommend it to

Many look for such a warm, earthy scent for meditation and quiet moments. While the stick burns, the scent slowly fills the room, not sickly or suffocating. If you light a stick in a ventilated medium-sized room, the scent spreads evenly in 20-30 minutes and remains noticeable for a good while after the burn. For reading, evening unwinding or after yoga it is especially loved.

How to use it

Light the tip of the stick — let it flame for a few seconds, then carefully blow it out. The smouldering end gives off the scent. Place the stick in an incense holder or on a non-flammable, ash-catching tray. Do not leave unattended, and keep away from curtains, paper, children and pets. One stick usually burns for 25-40 minutes depending on room size and ventilation.

When to bring it out

Before evening quietening, during meditation or yoga, or simply after a long day. Many use it on Sunday afternoons as a closing of cleaning — the space takes on the scent and the mood becomes more settled at once. Before festive preparations it also shows itself well, because the scent is firm yet not disturbing.

What to watch out for

Store in a dry, cool place, protected from direct sunlight. Never leave a burning incense alone and ensure proper ventilation. If you are asthmatic or sensitive to smoke scents, start with shorter use and an open window — every body tolerates smoke a little differently. The red paper pack is resealable, so the scent of the remaining sticks is kept until each comes to its turn.
