Tingsha Cymbals – Dragon Motif, 7.7 cm

Large Nepalese brass tingsha cymbal pair with Chinese dragon engraving. 7.7 cm, 346 g. Deep full chime for group meditation and studio use.

The advantages of the large size

This piece measures 7.7 cm across and weighs 346 g, making it the largest and deepest-toned example in the dragon-motif range. If you use it in a larger space or want a particularly commanding chime, this size gives you a deep, lasting fundamental and a strong sustain that rings for about twenty seconds.

The dragon motif around the rim

Because of the larger diameter, the dragon engraving is more detailed and more striking. The finely drawn beard, claws and scales look almost like a book illustration when you study them up close. The soft relief catches the light beautifully; the piece is an attractive decorative object even when it is not in use.

Group and studio settings

In meditation groups of ten to twenty people, in yoga and relaxation studios, or at a larger family blessing, the tone really comes into its own. You give a gentle yet firm signal that reaches even the back rows. Many teachers choose the larger size for this very reason in shared sessions.

Weight and handling

The 346 g is the combined weight of the two discs, so holding the leather cord one-handed can be a little more demanding than with the smaller sizes. Many people therefore hold one disc in each hand and bring them gently toward each other. After a few practice strikes you will quickly find the grip that is most comfortable for you.

As a decorative item at home

When not in use, the piece looks beautiful on a wooden tray, on a small wrought-iron stand or hung on the wall by the leather cord. The dragon motif often becomes a conversation-starting decorative object in the main living room; for festive household rituals it is at once an instrument and a keepsake.
