Tibetan singing bowl – Buddha pattern – approx. 16 cm

Tibetan singing bowl with Buddha pattern, approx. 16 cm. Deep sustained tone, hand-finished copper-tin alloy. For meditation and calm moments at home.

What is in the package?

You will receive a hand-finished copper-tin singing bowl of approximately 16 cm in diameter, with a delicate engraved Buddha pattern running around the outer rim. The inside has a smooth, warm golden-brown surface, while the outside shows a darker, deeper copper tone. A simple velour-covered striker and a soft cotton cushion complete the set, so you can start using it at home right away.

How to play the bowl

Place the bowl on the cushion or hold it flat on your open palm, making sure the rim is free. Hold the velour striker with your thumb and middle finger, then slowly circle it around the rim with steady, even pressure. After a few seconds you will hear a deep, sustained fundamental tone fill the room. If the bowl does not sound clearly yet, tap the rim gently first to start the vibration, then continue circling.

Why the Buddha motif?

The Buddha symbol is a well-known sign of inner peace and compassion in the Tibetan tradition. Many people choose this variant because it gives a tangible, visual focus during meditation, and because it looks beautiful on a living-room shelf or a small home meditation corner. If you enjoy clear, visible symbols, this engraved version will probably suit you better than the plain, smooth bowls.

When to use it

Some people use the bowl in the morning, to open a short breathing practice, while others reach for it in the evening, to close the day with a calm sound. It also works well at the end of a yoga session, when one long, settled tone helps you let go of the remaining tension. If complete silence feels too heavy, the slow, fading vibration of the bowl creates a gentle, living background for your practice.

Cleaning and daily care

Wipe the surface with a soft, dry cotton cloth after each use. Avoid water and abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the engraved Buddha pattern. If the bowl looks dull or shows fingerprints, a lightly damp wipe followed by a dry one is enough. Store the bowl on a shelf, placed on its cushion, away from strong heat sources and direct sunlight. With this simple care it will keep its warm, full tone for many years.
