A deep, rain-fresh Tibetan incense

Shingkham Kunkhyab is one of the best-loved healing incenses in the Tashi Lhunpo tradition. The aroma is deep and complex, often compared to a fresh morning after rain, with a soft earthy note underneath. If you are looking for a calm, nature-toned scent for meditation or for quiet evening hours, this Himalayan recipe is worth getting to know. The large size format is a comfortable size for everyday use as well.

A traditional recipe, hand-rolled sticks

The blend is built from Himalayan healing herbs and aromatic plants from South India, and the recipe follows a centuries-old Tibetan tradition. The sticks are hand-rolled in India, so their thickness may vary slightly from one to another in a natural way. Each box contains about 28 sticks, the sticks are 27 cm long, and one stick burns long enough for a comfortable ceremony or meditation.

How to use a stick

Place the stick into a stable incense holder that catches the ash. Light the tip, wait a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame so that only the ember remains. From this point the stick will smoulder slowly and the fine smoke will fill the room with a deep, soft scent. It is a good idea to ventilate the room a little during burning so that the air stays balanced with the aroma.

When this scent works well

Many people choose it for meditation and prayer moments, because the deep, earthy note helps the mind settle. After a long day it is also pleasant to light a stick, sit down in a comfortable chair, and watch the smoke rise slowly for a few minutes. If you are expecting guests, lighting a stick about half an hour before they arrive gives the room a clean, lingering scent.

Size, packaging and storage

The box is around 27 cm long, weighs approximately 94 grams net and arrives in carton packaging. It is hand-rolled in India following a traditional Tibetan recipe. Store the box in a closed container in a cool, dry place so the aroma stays fresh for a long time. If a child or a pet is nearby, always supervise the smouldering stick, and only burn it on a heatproof base. We wish you calm rituals and quiet evening practice with these sticks.
