A thin, natural agate slice — the cross-section of an agate nodule, revealing the bands the stone layered down over millions of years. It typically measures 12–14 cm, cut thin so light can glow through the fine layers.
What is agate?
Agate is a banded chalcedony, the microcrystalline form of quartz. The thinly polished surface shows concentric, rippling bands in a natural pattern; colours range from grey to warm brown, often with a translucent rim.
Agate in tradition
Tradition knows it as a stone of stability and balance. This is a traditional meaning rather than a health claim — the slice is, above all, beautiful for the pattern nature drew into it.
How to use it
Set near a window or light source, the layers light up; behind a candle, on a shelf or hung up, it makes a decorative natural ornament. It is also a thoughtful gift for anyone who loves mineral patterns.
Good to know
A natural product, so every slice is unique: pattern, colour and edge differ from the photo. Being thin, handle it with care; clean with a soft cloth.
