A simple yet beautifully lined Goddess tealight holder in natural soapstone, standing about 11 cm tall. The recess in the carved figure is the seat for the tealight; the lit flame plays warmly over the silky surface of the stone.
About soapstone
Soapstone (steatite) is a soft natural rock with a smooth feel. Its tone can range from grey to black, and the veining and shade vary from stone to stone – so every holder is a unique piece, with slightly different colour and pattern.
The Goddess motif and the light
Mother-earth and goddess figures are, in tradition, symbols of life and care. As a tealight holder, the figure brings a quiet motif of light and warmth into a space, for an evening wind-down or the mood of an altar.
Use and care
- Place it on a heat-resistant, draught-free surface.
- Trim the wick to about 1 cm before lighting.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Dust with a soft, dry cloth; protect it from knocks.
