A tea bag holder is a small but useful helper: a place for the used tea bag or the teaspoon, keeping the table and cloth free of drips. On this pink piece appears the moon phases motif, depicting the Moon's cycle from new to full, in tradition a symbol of change and renewal.
Material and make
It is made of bone china — the strongest type of porcelain, in which at least 35% bone ash is added to the kaolin, feldspar and quartz. This makes the piece translucent yet durable, with a warm, fine glow. It measures about 10 × 10 cm.
Good to know
- It is not dishwasher or microwave safe, so gentle hand washing is advised.
- Dry it after use; protect it from drops and hard knocks.
