A safe place for your tarot cards at home
A tarot deck is not just a game — for many it is a personal, everyday companion. This Indian acacia wood box is made precisely so you do not just toss your cards into a drawer. The inner lining protects against wear, and the wood shields the cards from light and dust. The 17.5 × 13 × 6.5 cm interior holds a standard tarot deck and still leaves room for a silk cloth or a card you have drawn.
The sound and significance of OM
OM (or AUM) is an ancient sound from the Hindu and Buddhist traditions — said by many to be the first vibration of the universe, the foundational tone of creation. You do not need to follow any particular religion to feel a connection with this symbol. Many people simply see it as an emblem of stillness and focus, which suits the inward-facing state of a tarot reading.
The grain of acacia and the fineness of the carving
Acacia is one of the most beautiful and durable hardwoods. Its colour ranges from light brown to deeper chestnut tones, and the grain always draws a unique pattern. The OM symbol on the lid is carved by hand — the depth of the lines varies slightly from one box to the next, and this is exactly what gives each piece character.
How it fits into your daily life
If you enjoy building rituals into your day — a morning card draw, an evening reflection, lunar phase notes — this box quietly slots in. Many customers keep small crystals, an oracle deck, a journal or candle pins inside alongside tarot. It also looks beautiful on a table, shelf or altar.
What to watch out for to keep it lasting
Wood is a natural material — avoid prolonged, direct sunlight, moisture and the immediate vicinity of a radiator. A soft, dry or barely damp cloth is enough for cleaning. If the grain darkens slightly over time, that is not a fault but the life of the wood — it develops a beautiful patina.
