The black 5 mm BIO PLA straw is in the thinner category, ideal for water, soft drinks and light cocktails. The 23 cm length is enough for taller glasses, and the large 500-piece pack is sized for busier service.
Material and certifications
The straw is an in-house developed and manufactured bioplastic (PLA) product made from renewable, plant-based raw material, offered in bioplastic packaging. The plant-sourced material has a low CO2 footprint, and its plant origin is confirmed by the TÜV Austria "OK Biobased" certificate. The material is certified free of PFAS (forever chemicals), BPA (bisphenol-A) and phthalates.
Use and care
The straw is heat-resistant up to 40 °C, so it is recommended for cold and lukewarm drinks. It is hand-washable and reusable, so it is more than just a single-use accessory. Both the product and its packaging are industrially compostable, breaking down into natural substances.
