For bass drums and e-drums
The beater works excellently with regular acoustic bass drums and with electronic drum kits alike. Simply clamp it into your pedal and it is ready to go - no special setup required.
Important: not for cajons
The manufacturer explicitly states that this head is too hard for the Bass Cajon and for normal cajons, and is therefore unsuitable for them. If you are looking for a beater for your cajon, choose a softer-headed model - it will also protect the playing surface of your instrument.
Size and material
The beater is approximately 19.5 cm long with a 6.5 cm head, and weighs only around 110 grams, so it will not slow your pedal down. The hard felt head is a durable, long-lasting solution, made in Germany. A small part that makes an audible difference to your kick drum sound - well worth trying for yourself.
Storage and wear
The hard felt head holds its shape for a long time, though the impact point can flatten over the years. Rotating the head occasionally spreads the wear and keeps the tone round for longer.
