Ancient symbols, dressed in light. This 14-centimetre light-catching window decal is silk-screened in translucent colours. When the sun shines through, it casts coloured streams into the room, and the fine pattern of the Tibetan auspicious symbols comes alive on the glass.
The Tibetan auspicious symbols
The Tibetan Buddhist tradition recognises eight auspicious symbols (the Ashtamangala), which together evoke an image of good will, completeness and a favourable path. They are ancient motifs, shown with respect, that bring a quiet, contemplative mood to a window.
Placement and finish
The decal smooths onto clean, flat glass. It shows at its best in direct sunlight, when the colours glow and the light reaches into the room. It suits windows, glass doors or any well-lit transparent surface, for example near a meditation corner.
Good to know
Place it where it catches the most light during the day. The motif looks a little different in changing light, a gentle reminder of pausing, settling moments.
