A fine mandala, dressed in light. This 14-centimetre light-catching window decal is silk-screened in translucent colours. When the sun shines through, it casts coloured streams into the room, and the mandala pattern arranged around an open hand comes alive on the glass.
The mandala and the blessing hand
A mandala is a concentric pattern arranged around a centre, held in tradition as a symbol of wholeness and the inner centre, and used as a focus for meditation. The hand motif is, in many cultures, an ancient sign of good will, blessing and protection. Tradition keeps these as images of blessing and a favourable path.
Placement and finish
The decal smooths onto clean, flat glass. It shows at its best in direct sunlight, when the colours glow and the light reaches into the room. It suits a window near a meditation corner especially well.
Good to know
Place it where it catches the most light during the day. In changing light, the mandala shines a little differently each time.
