A rectangular mango wood tray with several compartments and a decorated card holder. It measures 39 × 29 cm, slightly smaller than a sheet of A3, stands 6 cm high and weighs about 1.35 kg. Suns, moons and stars make up the decoration, with the grain of the pale wood showing between them. Made in India.
The Sun in the tarot
In the major arcana, the Sun is card XIX, coming straight after the Moon. In the well-known Rider-Waite deck it shows a child on a white horse, with sunflowers below a shining sun. Traditionally it stands for joy and success, and many readers count it among the most welcome cards to draw. If you draw a card for the day each morning, the middle of this tray is a natural place for it.
What fits in the compartments
The compartments take a deck of cards, a few crystals, rings or a necklace. In the decorated card holder you can place the card you are thinking about.
For a reading, set it in the middle of the table. The deck, the crystals and the card you drew stay together, and afterwards you can move everything at once on the tray. If you would like the Sun and the Moon side by side, it pairs with our blue moon phase tray.
Not only for cards
On a hall chest of drawers it keeps keys, a watch and sunglasses in order. If you need a tray for jewellery instead, rings and earrings stay apart in their own compartments.
It is made for indoor use. The grain of mango wood differs on every piece, so the pattern may vary slightly from the photo. Dust the wood with a dry cloth, and keep it away from damp and strong sunlight.
