The cone shaped light scatter
The cone shaped crystal is one of the most striking sun catchers. Around its pointed top the cut sides scatter the incoming sunlight radially, like a star. On the wall you will see not only dots but also a soft linear pattern, as if small vivid coloured stars were shining on the wallpaper. The 4.2 centimetre width and 5.3 centimetre height are enough for the effect to be clearly seen from a distance too.
AAA quality, why it matters
AAA quality means that the cut surface of the glass crystal is clear, flawless and free of air bubbles or scratches. Thanks to this, light passes through cleanly and the rainbow colours come out sharp and vivid. It is worth it for you to choose such quality for the long term, because cheaper crystals may yellow or grow cloudy over time.
Mood in the room
Hang it in a window of a living room, dining room or home office where you walk around regularly during the day. In the afternoon sun small bright spots appear on the wall and the ceiling, and as the crystal slowly turns in the air flow, the picture changes gently. Many people find this quiet slow change restful for the eyes after screen time.
Size, weight, packaging
Width: 4.2 centimetres. Height: 5.3 centimetres. Weight: 76 grams. Material: AAA quality cut glass crystal. A small metal loop on top for hanging. Packaging: cardboard that protects it during shipping. Country of origin: China. The 76 gram weight is moderate, so a fishing line of average thickness will safely hold it.
Cleaning and attention
The pointed top of the cone is a fragile point during cleaning, so handle it gently. Wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth once a month, especially where the sides meet. Do not use chemicals or abrasives. When you take it down, lay it on a soft base and do not stand it on its tip, as the point is more sensitive to knocks than rounded shapes.
