Summer Magic Tea 50g — fruity red and green tea blend
Summer Magic Tea is a fruity, lively blend that conjures up summer from the first sniff. Pu-erh red tea (an aged, fermented Chinese tea with a deep, earthy character) and Sencha green tea form the base, joined by cut hibiscus, dried kiwi, apple, rose hip and freeze-dried strawberry (quickly frozen and then vacuum-dehydrated to preserve flavour and nutrients). The result is a whole fruit basket of aroma in a single cup. The blend is surprisingly versatile: the same tea serves as a refreshing winter drink when hot, and becomes one of the best iced teas in its chilled form.
Flavour profile
Pu-erh brings depth and body, balanced by the fresh, grassy liveliness of Sencha green tea. Hibiscus adds a pleasant tartness and a striking ruby-red colour, kiwi and strawberry contribute fruity sweetness, while rose hip gives a gentle bittersweet finish. Apple ties the various notes together with natural sweetness. The aroma is reminiscent of a freshly picked bowl of berries — pure spring-summer energy in a cup. The colour is a feast for the eye: a deep ruby-red with purple hints, particularly striking in a clear glass teapot or jug.
What is this tea for?
While you can enjoy it hot — a fruity, bright cup on a winter day is lovely — its finest side is as an iced tea in summer. Served over ice with lemon or a fresh mint leaf, it makes a wonderful refresher. Works well during the day too: thanks to its moderate caffeine content, it slips easily into an afternoon routine. An ideal companion for picnics, outdoor gatherings and barbecues — lively enough to keep pace with a warm day.
Step-by-step brewing
Hot: boil water and let it rest for a few minutes until it reaches 90-95 °C. Use 2-3 grams of tea per 200 ml cup and steep for 4-5 minutes. Cold: brew hot as above, let cool for 10 minutes, then pour into a jug filled with ice. Especially delicious with lemon and fresh mint. For an even finer iced version, try the cold-brew method: place 10 grams of tea in 1 litre of cold water and refrigerate for 6-12 hours — you get a mellower, naturally sweeter cup.
Ingredients
Pu-erh red tea, Sencha green tea, cut hibiscus, kiwi (kiwi 56%, sugar, acidifier: citric acid, colouring: E141, antioxidants: sulphur dioxide), apple (apple approx. 97%, salt, citric acid E330, optionally ascorbic acid E300), rose hip, freeze-dried strawberry, natural aroma. May contain sulphur dioxide.
Who is it for?
For lovers of fruity teas who want a bright, colourful, playful cup. An excellent choice for summer gatherings, picnics or brunches. Also a wonderful gift — the premium packaging and visible fruit pieces make a striking present for any tea enthusiast. Children may also enjoy it as an iced tea, but given the moderate caffeine content, serve it in small portions.
Storage and shelf life
Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place. The fruit pieces are sensitive to moisture, so keep them protected from humidity. With proper storage, the blend stays vibrant and fragrant for 12-18 months. If possible, keep it in a metal tin or dark glass — light can fade the hibiscus colour over time.
