Stone-Washed T-Shirt, XL Size - Hamsa - Green

Stone-washed 100% cotton T-shirt with the protective Hamsa symbol — green colour, XL size. Soft, breathable, vintage-character piece from Nepal.

Nomád Sari stone-washed T-shirts are made from 100% natural cotton in Nepal, crafted by Nepalese artisans. Every piece passes through a double stone-washing process, which is what gives the shirt its soft, mature feel from the very first wear — it never feels factory-stiff. This XL-sized, green piece carries the Hamsa motif, one of the oldest protective symbols from the Middle East and North Africa.

The story behind the Hamsa, the protecting hand

The Hamsa is an open, five-fingered palm, often shown with an eye at its centre. The name means "five" in the Semitic languages. It has been worn as an amulet for thousands of years, from the eastern Mediterranean to India — originally as a guardian of the home, the traveller and the children. Today, it is often worn simply as a sign of good intention and an open hand, without ties to any specific religious system. The Hamsa design on this shirt is delicate and detailed, carrying the warmth of careful artisanal drawing.

Why this shade of green

The chosen green is not loud — it is earthy and slightly moss-like. It matches the calm energy of the Hamsa motif perfectly: it does not demand attention, it is simply present. The 100% cotton fabric and the stone-washing together ensure that the green colour holds its depth for years through standard 30°C washes — it does not fade quickly the way thinner, factory-stiff fabrics do.

About the XL size

The XL measures approximately 73 cm long and 49 cm wide at the chest when laid flat. Comfortable, with no tight points — ideal for those who like to move freely under a shirt. It does not pull at the shoulders or arms, and the length suits longer torsos. If you usually wear XL and prefer a slightly airier feel, this piece will be especially comfortable.

What the stone-washed finish gives you in daily life

During stone-washing the finished T-shirt is industrially tumbled with real or synthetic stones. The fibres lift slightly, creating that distinctive softly fuzzy surface that feels as if you had been wearing it for years. Anyone who has tried a stone-washed shirt rarely returns to stiff, smooth factory cotton. The process also pre-shrinks the fabric: the cut and size remain stable across many later washes.

How to wear it and when

The green Hamsa shirt pairs nicely with many things: light denim, sand-coloured chinos, beige linen trousers, black cotton fabrics — all work beautifully. A simple wooden or bone-bead bracelet, or a silver necklace, complements it without drawing attention away from the Hamsa design. In spring and autumn it looks lovely under an open cotton shirt or a linen cardigan. On summer days it stands on its own, with sandals or light canvas shoes.

Care for years of wear

Wash at 30°C, ideally inside out, so the Hamsa print keeps its sharpness for a long time. Avoid bleach and strong fabric softeners — the original softness of the stone-washed surface will last well on its own. Use a low to medium spin setting. Air-dry in the shade — line-drying in full summer sun can gradually fade the green tone. Ironing is generally not needed; if you must, always protect the print with a thin cloth.
