Nomád Sari stone-washed T-shirts are made from 100% natural cotton in Nepal, and every piece is washed twice with stones. From the very first wear, the fabric feels soft and breathable, and the colour and the print come alive. This XL-sized, chestnut-brown T-shirt carries the Hamsa hand motif — an ancient, meaning-rich symbol that stands for protection, peace and goodwill in many cultures.
A short history of the Hamsa hand
The Hamsa (also known as the Hand of Fatima or the Hand of Miriam) has been used across the Middle East and North Africa for millennia. In its oldest meaning, the open, upward-facing palm is the gesture of protection: "stop, no further" — at once a warning and a refuge. On this T-shirt it appears not as a religious sign but as an open, universally readable reminder: those who wish you well stay close, and from those who do not, there is always a way to step further away.
Why chestnut brown
Chestnut brown belongs to the family of natural, earthy colours — warm, calm, easy to wear on weekdays and weekends alike. It works on a wide range of skin tones and does not fade at standard 30°C washes. If you like the kind of quiet balance brown can bring to your wardrobe (groundedness, gentle strength), this shirt is likely to find its way into your regular rotation.
Stone-washing as craft
During stone-washing, the finished T-shirt is tumbled together with real (or synthetic) stones. The fibres lift a little, and that gives the fabric its soft, "already worn-in" feel from the very first day. The same process pre-shrinks the cloth, so the cut and the size remain stable through later washes. The print adheres better to a "worked" fabric, which is why it stays sharp years later.
How to wear it
An XL gives a comfortable, slightly relaxed cut. It pairs well with light denim, linen trousers or coffee-toned chinos. To highlight the Hamsa motif, add a simple leather bracelet or a silver necklace. On cooler evenings, wear it under an open cotton shirt or a linen cardigan. On summer days, sandals and a hat are enough — free living, fewer layers.
Size and a choosing tip
This XL piece measures approximately 73 cm in length and 49 cm in width at the chest (measured flat). The Nomád Sari cut is slightly relaxed, so if you normally wear an XL, this should fit. If you tend to prefer a roomier feel, this size is a safe choice. If unsure, please write to us — we are glad to help based on the availability of other sizes.
Care
Wash at 30°C, ideally inside out, so the Hamsa print keeps its sharpness for the longest. Avoid bleach and harsh fabric conditioners — the stone-washed softness holds up well on its own. Spin at a low-to-medium setting and use a tumble dryer only when truly necessary. Ironing is not required; if needed, always protect the print with a thin cloth.
