Nomád Sari stone-washed T-shirts are made from 100% natural cotton in Nepal, with a double stone-washing process. This M-sized, blue version carries the mandala motif — one of the most widely loved graphics in the Nomád Sari series, a classic intricate circular pattern placed on the chest of the shirt.
The mandala as a composition
"Mandala" is a Sanskrit word meaning "circle". In Eastern traditions (Hindu, Buddhist) it is known as a meditation aid; in Western psychology, since Jung, it is referenced as a visual expression of inner balance. On this T-shirt the mandala appears not as a religious prescription but as an open aesthetic pattern — a nicely worked, hand-graphic-style circular design that anyone can wear with their own reading.
Why this blue
The chosen mid-blue tone is not loud but calm and deep. It suits the mandala's meditative character — blue has traditionally been associated with inward attention, calm and clarity, while also being well-suited to daily wear. It looks good with classic denim, off-white chinos or sand-coloured linen trousers alike.
What M offers
An M piece measures approximately 64 cm long and 45 cm wide at the chest. A classic, comfortable cut — not tight, not loose. If you normally wear M, this should fit; if you prefer a roomier feel, L might be worth considering. Please write if you would like help with the choice.
The stone-washed surface — long-term value
During stone-washing the finished shirts are tumbled with real or synthetic stones in a washing machine. The process breaks the initial stiffness of the fabric and pre-builds the soft, slightly fuzzy, vintage character. In return, not only is the first wear more pleasant, the shirt also keeps its shape and print sharpness for years — home washes no longer erode it as much.
How to put the look together
Quiet accessories suit the blue mandala shirt: a wooden-bead bracelet, a simple silver or stone necklace. On summer days it works alone with sandals and linen trousers. On cooler evenings it sits well under an open cotton overshirt or a linen cardigan — the blue base communicates with both layering options.
Washing guide
Wash at 30°C inside out. Avoid strong bleach and softener. Air-dry in a shaded, ventilated place — direct sunlight can fade the blue tone over time. Ironing is usually unnecessary; if needed, always protect the mandala print with a thin cloth. Many of our customers find that stone-washed cotton only reaches its final, "lived-in" character years later.
