Sound and character
Large monochords have a deep, long-sustaining voice, and the raised height lets it bloom even more: the body lifts away from the floor, so the resonant chamber breathes freely. From the higher position you sit closer to the plane of the strings, and long glissandi can be drawn with a more natural arc of the arm.
How to use
Attach the legs of the RS-28GM small round stand to the extension elements with the M6 screws, then secure the 127.5 cm cross-bar onto the two pre-drilled legs. The frame holds the large monochord steadily and lets you play from a chair in an ergonomic posture — especially helpful during longer sessions.
Why this product
The 127.5 cm cross-bar is sized for large Feeltone monochords — choose the 69 cm or 83 cm version for smaller or medium instruments. The complete frame disassembles and packs back into the instrument bag, making transport between studio, hall and outside venue manageable.
Care tips
- Tighten the screws by hand only and check them from time to time.
- Before playing, make sure all four feet stand level and stable.
- The cross-bar can be ordered separately if you work with several instruments.
- Care for the birch surface with a dry or barely damp soft cloth.
