The Rose fragrance profile
The candle's fragrance unfolds in three layers, like a perfume. Top notes: blackcurrant, green leaves, soft citrus — these greet you first, with a fresh, vivid voice. Heart notes: wild rose, geranium, jasmine petals — these emerge after about 10 to 15 minutes, more softly and warmly. Base notes: oakmoss, cedarwood, amber — these remain at the end, with a warm, lingering fade.
Why soy wax and a wood wick
We chose soy wax because it burns more cleanly than paraffin — less soot, and a plant-based ingredient. The wood wick produces a soft, gentle crackling sound while burning, creating a homely, fireside atmosphere in the room. Many people choose this type of candle precisely for that sound, not only the fragrance.
How to use it for the first time
The first time you light it, let the candle burn for 2 to 3 hours, until the wax has melted all the way to the edge of the rim. This prevents the candle from forming a hollow only in the middle next time. Always trim the wood wick to about 5 mm before use — for a steadier flame and a more even burn.
When to light it
At the end of a long, tiring day, during a bath, for reading or to set the mood for guests. With the approximately 26-hour burn time, one candle can accompany you for weeks if you use it in shorter sessions. It is also a lovely gift choice for friends, colleagues or family.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. After burning, let the wax cool fully before putting it away. Once fully used, the glass jar can be reused as a decorative container — for a small plant, needles or a teaspoon.
