Sound and character
The classical sound chair's tambura tuning opens a different world than the monochord version: 60 strings in a repeating C–c–c–G chord, framed by fifths. The resulting continuous drone creates a meditative, ceremonial atmosphere especially well suited to vocal work and sound massage. Vibration spreads gently across shoulders, back, and thighs, all the way to the fingertips.
How to use
The classic sound chair is designed for clinics, occupational, speech, and physiotherapy practices, kindergartens, rehabilitation centres, and hospice care. The high, embracing sides offer safety — clients can welcome the sense of boundary, while sound and vibration enter through skin and bone. The side panels both protect and act as a resonant body.
