Sound and character

Why this product
If you want a slit drum that is easy to play yet serious in sound, this classic model is a perfect choice. Eight notes and a pentatonic scale guarantee a harmonious result; padouk gives one of Feeltone's most beautiful tones. Built identically to the tenor and bass models, only differing in pitch – an ideal entry to the Pro-Line series.
Care tips
- Hold the mallets loosely, letting the rubber ball rebound from the tongue.
- The bouncing technique gliding across multiple tongues creates fascinating patterns.
- Play with mallets, fingers and hands.
- Place on a stable, flat surface for play.
- Store in a dry place away from direct sunlight – padouk colour patinas naturally over time.
- Do not push fingers through the slits into the drum body – pinch hazard.
