What makes the swinging chime distinctive
This hand-assembled sound instrument sounds the six notes of the classic Solfeggio scale when you swing it and strike it with the rubber mallet. Each of the six tubes is tuned to a different frequency, so a single motion can sound up to six different resonances. The sound is rich, clear and layered.
The six Solfeggio frequencies
The chime includes the following notes: Ut – 396 Hz (releasing resonance), Re – 417 Hz (supportive resonance), Mi – 528 Hz (transformation, renewal), Fa – 639 Hz (strengthening connections), Sol – 741 Hz (awakening intuition), and La – 852 Hz (returning to spiritual order). Many cultures use these ancient tones in their music and meditation practices.
Dimensions, materials and accessories
The tubes range from approximately 35.5 cm to 52 cm in length, depending on the note they are tuned to. The tubes are made of aluminium and the handles are of steamed beechwood. The tubes are joined with a durable cord. The package also includes a rubber mallet to make activation easy. Country of origin: India. Instructions in the box are available in six languages: English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
How to use it
Hold the chime by the upper handle and swing it with slow, rhythmic motions. Touch the tubes one by one with the rubber mallet – each tube sounds separately. Another method: swing the chime while the mallet moves freely between the tubes. The full sensation can last for several seconds because the tubes resonate for a long time.
Care and storage
Keep the chime in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. A soft, dry cloth is enough for cleaning. Do not expose the wooden handles to water or excessive heat. Check the condition of the connecting cord from time to time, and if you notice wear, use a soft surface during play.
