Warm light and pleasant aroma at once
This burner does more than scent: through the pierced star and moon motifs carved into its walls, the tealight flame projects gentle light shapes onto walls and ceiling. It is perfect for evening reading, conversation or simply quiet minutes. You need only one tealight to create a cosy corner.
Pierced carving by Indian artisans
Pierced openwork (called jali) is a beautiful tradition of Indian stone carving. The artisan shapes stars and moon motifs with hand tools while preserving the stone's strength. The work takes many hours per piece. You receive a hand-carved example whose patterns reflect human craft with tiny variations.
Dual use
Place a small bowl on top with water and a few drops of essential oil – it then serves as an oil burner. If you place a cone incense or hot charcoal directly into the upper recess (below the pierced dome), it works as an incense burner. You can switch between modes as the occasion suits.
Size, weight, stability
The 14 cm height is well visible on a shelf or coffee table. The 1.5 kg weight provides a solid base: no accidental tipping. The lighter soapstone tone is warm and homely – you can place it freely on wood, ceramic, stone or fabric surfaces.
What to watch out for
Always place on a heatproof surface: after long use the base warms up. The pierced pattern also means warm air flows strongly – do not place it near flammable items and do not leave it unattended. Wait for full cooling before cleaning, and check that the carved openings are free from dust so the projected light shapes remain crisp and beautiful in your room.
