These two smaller cork wedges sit under the palm to soften the sharp angle of the wrist and ease the load on the hand and wrist joints – a real help in handstand (Adho Mukha Vrksasana) or any weight-bearing pose. Supplied as a pair, they can be placed symmetrically under both hands.
What are they for?
Cork props are used across Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga, restorative and power yoga, and are an established tool in physiotherapy. The smaller size packs easily, making them handy for travel and the studio.
Natural cork, responsibly harvested
Cork is a 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable material. The cork oak is never felled: its bark is harvested by hand roughly every nine years, and the trees can live up to 300 years. It is odourless, light, slightly springy and non-slip – and warm to the touch.
Care
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and let it air-dry. Keep it away from prolonged moisture and direct sunlight.
