A small soapstone aroma lamp carved with a flower motif, in a soft coloured finish and standing just 8 cm tall. The lamp holds a single tealight and warms a few drops of essential oil in the upper dish to release the fragrance gradually into the room.
Soapstone craft
Soapstone is one of the oldest stones worked by hand. Soft enough to carve with simple tools, hard enough to last for generations once finished, and naturally heat-resistant — ideal for an object that sits over a flame. Each lamp is hand-carved, so subtle variations in tone and grain make every piece a little unique.
How to use
Fill the upper dish with a tablespoon or two of water and add a few drops of essential oil. Light a tealight and place it inside the lamp through the side opening. The flame warms the water from below, carrying the fragrance into the room without burning it.
Where it works
The compact size suits bedside tables, bathroom shelves and quiet corners where a candle and a soft scent are equally welcome. The carved flower motif gives the lamp a gentle decorative presence even when unlit.
