Characteristics
On Aventurine’s greenish base, tiny sparkling mica particles are scattered – this is called the aventurescence effect (or aventurising), and the entire phenomenon took its name from this stone. Polishing gives a smooth, pleasant-to-touch surface, and the mica appears to move as the light shifts. Its hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale provides excellent durability.
