Small African Tumble Stone - Aventurine
Aventurine is one of the most popular green quartz varieties: its characteristic sparkling, shimmering light comes from the tiny mica platelets (fuchsite) within it, and this gives the stone its unique “glittering green” character. Characteristics
On Aventurine’s greenish base, tiny sparkling mica particles are scattered – this is called the aventurescence effect (or aventurising), and the entire phenomenon took its name from this stone. Polishing gives a smooth, pleasant-to-touch surface, and the mica appears to move as the light shifts. Its hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale provides excellent durability.

The natural green tones of Aventurine tumbled stones fit particularly well alongside houseplants, wooden decorative elements and natural textiles.
