Small 3D Frame 7x7cm in Grey — a tiny stage for floating memories

The grey 7x7 cm 3D frame is the smallest in the series, and that is exactly what makes it the most personal. It does not put a photograph behind glass — it holds a tiny object: the hospital wristband next to the baby sock, the first milk tooth, a seashell from the beach, grandma's ring. Between two transparent membranes the object appears to float unsupported; in reality it is the tensioned film that holds it gently in place. This is the effect traditional glazed frames cannot reproduce.

The ash-grey shade is neutral and sits well with any wall colour or interior: a Scandinavian living room, an industrial shelf, a romantic bedroom — the frame does not compete with the object inside, it simply serves as backdrop.

Material and build

The frame is made of sturdy, impact-resistant plastic with a matt finish. Two flexible, crystal-clear PE membranes are tensioned on either side, enclosing the displayed object. The construction is double-sided: both faces are viewable, so the frame also works inside a glazed display cabinet. For tabletop use a separate stand is available in the same series.

What fits inside?

The 7x7 cm interior is small but generous. Thin, flat items sit beautifully — dried petals, pressed four-leaf clovers, coins, badges, pendants, a tooth, a lock of hair, buttons, a butterfly, a baby hand-print on a small card. Objects up to about 2 cm thick work as well, because the membrane stretches to hold them. The one thing to avoid: sharp-edged items that could cut through the film.

Display ideas

On a nursery shelf, a sock with a small dated card. In the living room, a small butterfly study of three or four frames arranged as a gallery wall. On the wedding couple's bedside table, a single petal from the bouquet. In the athlete's study, a medal with the date of the race. The grey colour makes all of these work — the frame is neither cheerful nor severe, it is simply present.

Gift use

The small 3D frame is a popular choice for christenings, graduations, anniversaries and Mother's Day: not expensive, but personal. An empty frame is an acceptable gift, but it becomes a real one when filled — with the object of a shared memory, a handwritten note, a dried flower. The recipient opens not a mass-market item but a small, curated display.
