The Sizzle Board is a true multitalent among rhythm instruments. You can play it quietly or loudly, hold it in your hand, strap it to your leg or mount it on your cajon - and it sounds different in every situation. Strike it with your palm, fingers or rods: every touch produces a different shade of its characteristic sizzling sound.
Beech playing surface, birch body
The playing surface is made of beech, the body of birch, in Germany. The playing area measures 22 × 11 cm - just the right size to fit comfortably under your palm, yet large enough for varied playing. The board weighs only 178 grams and is thin and flat (31 × 15 × 1 cm), so it fits into any instrument bag.
Leg strap and fastening strips included
The package includes a leg strap and fastening strips. With the strap you can fix the board to your leg - so you can play a full rhythmic accompaniment while sitting, even at a table - and with the strips you can mount it on your cajon, extending its sound with a new colour.
When will you use it?
In acoustic music, at camps, in singing lessons, at singalongs or while practising at home - wherever you want to add rhythm to music without electricity or bulky equipment. If you play guitar or sing, the Sizzle Board strapped to your leg works great as a stand-alone accompanying instrument.
